Change the email you sign in with
Type the new address on your account page and press Change email. Margin writes to your old address first, and nothing changes until you press the link in it.
The steps
- Press Your account at the bottom of the planner.
- Find Email address.
- Type the address you want under New email.
- Press Change email.
- Open the email Margin sends to your current address and press the link in it.
Change the email you sign in with. No sound. The words are on the screen.
What to know
The link goes to the address you use now, not to the new one. That way nobody who finds your laptop unlocked can move your account into their own inbox.
You keep signing in with the old address until you press that link.
Use an address you actually read. It is how you get back in if you forget your password.
Your subscription follows you. Margin knows you by your account rather than by your address, so a new address does not make a second customer.
