Add a book to the reading list
The reading list is every book your children are reading this year. A title is all it needs. Everything after that is optional.
The steps
- Press the Books tab.
- In the The reading list card, press Add a book.
- Type the Title, and the Author if you know it.
- Pick a Subject if the book belongs to one.
- Under Who is reading it, check the children who are reading it.
- Press + Add book.

What to know
A title is the only thing Margin insists on. A list with no dates and no subjects on it is a perfectly good list, and most of the reading in a homeschool year belongs on one.
The Reading schedule boxes underneath are optional. Leave them empty and the book simply sits on the list until you mark it finished.
The line above the card counts your year for you. It reads 3 of 11 books finished, 2 being read now as soon as there is something to count.
