Reschedule a day that didn't go to plan

When a day gets away from you, Margin finds a home for what is left and shows you what each choice does before you pick one.

The steps

  1. Click the day that did not happen.
  2. Press Reschedule what's left at the bottom of the sheet.
  3. Read the three choices. Each one says what it does to your heaviest day.
  4. Press choose on the one you want.

Reschedule a day that didn't go to plan. No sound. The words are on the screen.

What to know

The three choices are Get it done soonest, which uses the next free days, Spread it out, which puts each subject on its own lightest day, and Barely notice it, which does the same thing but looks much further ahead.
Below the line is a different kind of answer. Re-spread the rest of the year lays your remaining books out again from today instead of placing these few lessons, and a choice that offers to add however many days it needs to the year moves your last day instead.
Sometimes every day between now and your last one is already full. Margin says so plainly rather than dropping the work on a day you kept clear.
Nothing is lost either way. A lesson Margin cannot place stays where it is.
