Add a chore
A chore is a job that comes back. Give it a name, say who does it, and it lands on the chart on every day it is due.
The steps
- Press the Chores tab.
- Choose Who the chore is for.
- Type the job into Chore. Margin offers common ones as you type.
- Leave How often on Every day, or change it to Some days.
- Press + Add chore.
Add a chore. No sound. The words are on the screen.
What to know
A name is the only thing Margin insists on. Everything else on the form has an answer already.
Margin picks a small drawing from the words you typed. "Feed the dog" becomes a paw, and it is on the chart as soon as the row is. A child who has pictures turned on gets the same drawing big and in color.
The box takes 60 characters, and so does the box you rename it in later. The two used to disagree, so a long name lost its end the first time you fixed a typo.
A new chore shows on every week, behind you as well as ahead. A chore has no start date, because the question is whether it got done today rather than when you thought of it.
