Finish a book by a day you pick

Tell Margin the day a book has to be done and it doubles up where it needs to. It tells you what that would cost before anything moves.

The steps

  1. On the subject's row, press sooner.
  2. The Finish by box opens on the last day of your year. Move it to the day you want.
  3. Read the sentence beside the box. It says how many days would then carry more than one lesson of this book.
  4. Press Do it.

Finish a book by a day you pick. No sound. The words are on the screen.

What to know

Nothing moves until you press Do it. Moving the date only rewrites the sentence, and a day that cannot work takes the button away.
A book that will not finish before your last day opens this band by itself and says how many lessons are left over, so you find out in October rather than in May.
Back to one a day undoes the promise and puts the book back on its normal pace.
When you pick the last day of your year, Margin remembers the words rather than the date. Moving your last day moves this with it.
