Add a subject with no daily lessons
Some subjects have no book and no daily work. A co-op history class is still history, and you want it named on the report.
The steps
- On the Setup tab, scroll to Subjects without daily lessons under the subject table.
- Press + Add a subject without daily lessons.
- Give it a name, like History.
- Check the children it belongs to, or leave them all unchecked for the whole family.
- Press Add subject.
Add a subject with no daily lessons. No sound. The words are on the screen.
What to know
A subject like this has no curriculum and no lesson count, and it puts nothing on your calendar. It exists so you have something to label work with.
Tag a book or an assignment with it and the work shows on the report under that subject, which is what an association is asking for.
You can make one without coming to this page. Every subject list in Margin ends with + Add a subject…, so you can name a new subject while you are adding the book that needed it.
Renaming one carries its books and assignments with it. Nothing you labeled comes loose.
