Choose Use a sick day when Margin asks. The year shifts along and the day still counts toward your total.
The steps
- Take the day off on the Days Off tab.
- Margin asks how to handle the work that sat on it.
- Press Use a sick day.

What to know
This is the only kind of time off that counts toward the number your state asks for, because you planned for it before the year began.
Everything after today shifts along by a day. No lesson is lost and nothing is crammed into the rest of your week.
The row on your list says sick day underneath its name, so you can tell it from an ordinary break.
Margin will not offer it if you have fewer sick days left than the break needs.
