Start your year
Ten short questions, and then Margin lays out the whole year for you. Nothing is scheduled until you have answered all of them.
Start your year. No sound. The words are on the screen.
The steps
- Press Begin on the welcome screen.
- Answer each screen and press Continue. Your children, your dates, your breaks, your co-op, field trips, your weekly rhythm, how your books are paced, your curriculum, and your summer.
- Use Back any time. Nothing you have typed is lost.
- On the last screen, press Build my year.
What to know
Nothing lands on a calendar until you press Build my year. You can walk away in the middle and pick it up where you left off.
There is an eleventh question if your first day has already gone by. Margin asks what lesson each child is on today and checks off everything before it.
Every answer can be changed later from the Setup tab. Setup is the fastest way in, not the only way.
On a phone
Same ten questions, one screen at a time. Setting the year up on a laptop is easier, mostly because the curriculum step is a wide table.
