Know when a shared link stops working

A link stops working the day after the last day it covers. You cannot turn it off sooner.

The steps

  1. Press Share a link and make a link.
  2. Read the line under the buttons. It names the day the link stops working.
  3. Share a shorter stretch if that date is further out than you want.

Know when a shared link stops working. No sound. The words are on the screen.

What to know

The link carries its own end date inside it, so it expires on its own with nothing for you to remember.
You cannot turn one off before then. Nothing is held on a Margin server, so there is nothing to switch off. Only send one to somebody you trust.
Making a second link does not kill the first. They are separate, and each one runs out on its own date.
A very long link is harder to send through a text message. Margin says so and suggests a shorter stretch.
