Add an assignment
An assignment is a piece of work with no lesson behind it. A book report, an art project, a science experiment. Give it a name and it starts showing up.
The steps
- Press the Assignments tab.
- Type What is it.
- Choose Who it is for.
- Set Start, which is the first day it shows up.
- Set Due (optional) if it has a day.
- Press + Add this assignment.
Add an assignment. No sound. The words are on the screen.
What to know
A name is the only thing Margin insists on. Everything else on the form is yours to leave alone.
An assignment carries no minutes, so it never takes time away from the day's lessons and a rebuilt year cannot move it.
It shows on every school day from its start until it is due, so a child chips away at it instead of finding it the night before.
Co-op days are left out. A child is tired when she gets home, and a line she learns to ignore is worse than no line.
