Mark a book finished

Each book on the list carries where it is at. Move it to Finished and Margin dates it and puts it on your record.

The steps

  1. Press the Books tab.
  2. Find the book in the table and look at the Where it's at column.
  3. Choose Finished.
  4. Check the date in the Finished column, and change it if you finished the book earlier than today.

Mark a book finished. No sound. The words are on the screen.

What to know

A book sits in one of three places: To read, Reading and Finished. The table puts the ones in hand at the top, so the books you are reading now are the first rows you see.
Finishing a book dates it today, because that is nearly always the day you check it off. The date stays yours to edit for the ones you catch up on later.
Finished books appear in the Report under each child with the author and the date. That list is what an association or an evaluator asks to see.
A paced book stops moving the week you finish it. Nothing rolls forward after that.
