Scan your library stack
Scanning the stack counts it and lists the titles too, so you know which book is the one still under the sofa.
The steps
- On the Books tab, in the Library books card, press Scan them in.
- Scan each book's barcode, one at a time.
- Press Done when the stack is finished.
- Check the titles under Scanned so far and press ✕ on anything that does not belong.
- Set Due back and press + Add these books.
Scan your library stack. No sound. The words are on the screen.
What to know
How many fills itself in as you scan, so the count and the list can never disagree with each other.
Scanning the same book twice counts it once. Margin says that one is already on the list and waits for the next.
A book Margin cannot look up still counts. It joins the stack as Book 3 with its number beside it, and the count is right either way.
Typing a number in by hand still works exactly as it always did, with no titles attached. Scanning is the longer way and it is there for the stacks you want to be able to name.
