Add a book that is not on the list
Margin shares a library of books that other homeschool families have already added. When yours is not in it, you type it in once and it is there for everyone after you.
The steps
- Open Add a subject and type your book's name under Curriculum.
- When nothing in the list is your book, press + Add a book that isn't listed at the bottom of the list.
- Fill in the name, the company, the grade if there is one, how many lessons it has, and how many minutes a lesson takes.
- Press Save to the library.
- Your book is now in the Curriculum list. Pick it and finish the subject as usual.

What to know
The Add a curriculum panel is hidden until you press + Add a book that isn't listed. If you cannot see it, that is why. The button is inside the list that drops down while you type, underneath whatever it found.
What you type goes into the shared library, so the next family searching for the same book finds it already filled in. Your children's names and your lesson counts stay yours and are never part of it.
The search looks at the book and the company together, so rod staff finds every Rod and Staff book at once.
