Add a category
A category is one list of things to learn by heart. Give it a name, say who it is for, and pick the week it starts.
The steps
- Press the Memory Work tab.
- Open Add a category.
- Type a Name. Scripture, poems, times tables, a spelling list.
- Set Starts the week of. Margin fills in the Monday of this week already.
- Choose Who it is for.
- Pick a Color.
- Press + Add category.

What to know
Each category runs on its own. A child can be working on a verse and a spelling list in the same week.
Margin offers a color nothing else in your year is wearing, so two categories added one after the other never come out the same.
A name is the only thing Margin insists on. Everything else on the form has an answer in it already.
Who it is for is only on the form when you have more than one child.
