Say what grade each child is in
Open Grades on the Setup tab and pick a grade for each child. It prints beside their name on the record.
The steps
- Press the Setup tab.
- Open Grades under School year.
- Pick a grade beside each child's name.
- Press the Report tab. The grade sits beside the child's name at the top of their pages.

What to know
When you start your next school year, everybody moves up one grade on their own. You do not set these again every August.
A child in 12th has nowhere to move up to, so next year's setup says they finished 12th last year rather than inventing a grade.
Doesn't apply is a real answer. A family who does not think in grade levels can leave every child on it, and the record simply carries no grade.
