Say how your books are paced
Most homeschool books are one lesson a day. Some you stay on until the topic is learned. This is the one thing Margin has to know before you put your books in.

The steps
- On What type of curriculum do you have?, pick one.
- One lesson per school day — day 1 is lesson 1, day 37 is lesson 37. Most books work this way.
- Mastery based — you move on once the topic is mastered. All About Reading works this way.
- Both — you will say which on each book.
- Press Continue.
What to know
Not sure? Pick One lesson per school day. You can change this later on the Setup tab and nothing you have already done goes away.
Pick Both and every book you add gets its own question. Pick Mastery based and every book arrives as mastery, which you can switch back one at a time.
A mastery book has no finish date, because there is no honest way to put one on it. Margin names those books rather than pretending.
